Welcome to the Blue Knights Guernsey I Chapter website.
Our Pledge:

As a Blue Knight, I pledge to act with honour and pride to promote motorcycling and motorcycle safety by being an example of the safe use, operation and enjoyment of motorcycles. I will work at all times to improve the relationship between the motorcycling law enforcement community and the general public. The fraternal spirit will always guide me in relating to other Blue Knights

Welcome to the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club ‘GUERNSEY I’ Chapter Website.
I am Simon J. Chapman, President of the Chapter. I am a serving Prison Officer on the Island and have been a Blue Knight since 2000, where I was a Founder Member of ENGLAND XII whilst working with North Yorkshire Police.

Moving to the Island in 2004 I maintained my membership with my home Chapter whilst actively sourcing members locally with a view to forming this Chapter, having membership enquiries from our neighbouring Island of Jersey, Knights were also recruited there. Both of the Islands ‘New Members’ fell under the wing of ENGLAND XII my home Chapter. When we were sufficient member numbers serious deliberation was made as to whether we were to be known as a joint ‘Channel Islands Chapter’ or, as we have finally settled, as two proud but very independent and separate Chapters, ‘JERSEY I’ & ‘GUERNSEY I’.

‘GUERNSEY I’ were pipped to the post by Jersey by a matter of months in going it alone due to a stronger membership over the water, however in August 2016 and growing numbers our Charter Application was submitted and we formed as a Chapter in our own rights.
Guernsey is a small Island in the English Channel some 80 miles south of the English Coastline, however is only 20 miles West of France. The Island has a population of approximately 65,000 and a land mass of 25 square miles.  An English speaking Island we have our own Government, Currency and Laws and have had so for over 400 years since being French, the only blip being during the Second World War when the Island of Guernsey along with the other Channel Islands of Jersey, Alderney, Sark and Herm were the only British soil to be occupied by the Nazi’s.

Our membership is a mix of retired and serving Police and Prison Officers of both gender and we actively welcome new enquiries, our activities include spouse and partners along with our families whom enjoy motorcycling and socialising be it locally or away on tour off the Island. In our few years as a Chapter we have hosted two Rallies and raised Thousands of Pounds which we have donated to local Charitable causes such as RNLI, Cheshire Home, Scouts and The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.
